Feel spring in the red, white, and pink plum trees!
Hagi Ōkan Plum Garden is a park where you can appreciate plum blossoms in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. In the park of about 10,000 m2, about 350 plum trees of 13 kinds are planted. From late January to mid-March, you can see colorful plum blossoms . Every year, from late February to early March, the Hagi Ōkan Plum Garden Festival is also held. Hagi Ōkan Plum Garden was opened in 1992 for the 160th anniversary of Yoshida Shoin’s birth. Yoshida Shoin is one of Japan’s most distinguished intellectuals in the late years of the Tokugawa shogunate.
