Let’s enjoy the superb views from the best azalea garden in West Japan.

Ohirayama Summit Park is a park located on the summit of Mount Ohira in Hofu, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. It is  a good place  for picnic because you can enjoy the superb views from the park.
 The Park is also known as the best azalea garden in West Japan. You can see  about 100,000 azalea trees in full bloom in May.  Lots of playground equipment in the park will make your kids happy!

You can go to Ohirayama Summit Park by car.

There is  plenty of parking.

Walk about 250 meters from the parking lot and you will see the park. There is also a slope, so you can bring  a stroller.

There is a artificial lawn slide. Sleds are   prepared there.

There is playground equipment for small children.

There are  benches and tables in the park.  Let’s bring box lunch.

There was also a baby seat for changing diapers in the toilet in the park.

This  is an azalea garden. In May, the azaleas are in full bloom and  the azalea festival is held. A TV and radio tower stands on the top of the mountain.
This is the azaleas garden in May. I would like to visit at least once ❁(゚∀゚)❁

From the park, you can see the Seto Inland Sea. Mt. Ohira is   631.3 m high, which is almost the same height as the Tokyo Sky Tree. The lunch box  enjoying the superb view is the best (^^ ♪

It is a play square. There is a lot of playground equipment, so children can play all day long.

We went there on November 20th.  Ginkgo  and Japanese maple leaves were very beautiful. 

There is a lover’s bench. It seems that there are many people  who have confessed their love to be couples  (≧∇≦)

Ohirayama ropeway is not available now. The running was stopped several years ago because it was old. But the Ohirayama Ropeway Station still remains and is open.
This is an overview of the Ohirayama Ropeway. It seems that there were two passenger cars, Asagiri and Yubae.

There is also a waiting room.

The ropeway platform is now  a view spot. You can enjoy the superb view.

You can see the city of Hofu well.

Inside the ropeway platform, there are  pictures of the ropeway when it was running.

It is a photo of the  gondola that carried many people and made a lot of family memories.

Though the gondola does not run ,but  it remains  and you can ride it.

From the gondola platform, you can enjoy the superb view.
